Summary
As we discovered with function templates, we found that template classes can be extremely useful, but that their implementation and use are no trivial matters.
Fortunately, we have a very full set of template functions and template classes implemented in the C++ Standard Library. It is much easier to make use of them rather than writing our own. Plus, they are implemented professionally, avoiding common mistakes in implementing such classes. In most cases, they are also thread-safe. (We haven’t talked about threads yet…)
