Ingredients
Egg Mixture
3eggs
Salt
Black pepper
2Tbspflour
Vegetables and Meat
4(or more* -see note)potatoespeeled, halved, and cut into ⅓- inch slices

1red onionchopped
200g (½ lb)mushroomschopped
1red bell pepperdiced
1stalkcelerysliced crosswise
300g (⅔ lb)ground meat(beef, pork, or turkey)
2tomatoesdiced
2clovesgarlicminced
Fresh parsleyfinely chopped
100g (¼ lb)cheese(Cheddar, or suitable German cheese) shredded
Accompanying Sauce
3-4Tbspsour cream
1Tbspmayonnaise
1clovegarlic
1small - mediumfresh pickling cucumbershredded
Instructions
Egg mixture
Beat eggs with salt and pepper.
Add flour, and beat in.
Vegetables and Meat
Add slices of potatoes to a saucepan, cover with water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Boil until potatoes are done (not too soft).
Add oil to a skillet under medium heat. Add chopped red onion, and stir fry until slightly soft.
Add mushrooms, bell pepper, and celery, and stir fry until slightly soft
Add meat, mix in, and stir fry until no longer raw..
Add tomatoes, and mix in. Continue cooking,
Add minced garlic, stir in, and continue cooking slowly.
Construct the Casserole
When the potatoes are cooked, drain them, and add them to a deep casserole dish. Spread the potatoes over the bottom of the dish, and press them down a little.
Pour the egg mixture over the potatoes
Add salt and pepper (to taste) to the vegetable and meat mixture. Then add finely chopped parsley, and mix in.
Pour the vegetable and meat mixture over the potatoes in the casserole dish. Spread to cover. Cover with shredded cheese.
Bake at 180℃/350℉ for 35-40 minutes, until the cheese is lightly brown on top.
Accompanying Sauce
To a small bowl, add the sour cream, mayonnaise, minced garlic, and shredded cucumber, and mix thoroughly.
Serve
Serve slices of the casserole with a dollop of the sour cream/mayonnaise sauce on the side.Enjoy!
