Dinner at Ochre

I needed time to recover from the trousers escapade, but after resting a bit, I decided to venture out for dinner.

Originally, I was planning to eat at Dundees (Crocodile Dundee — get it?), but they said I would have to wait an hour for a table (I was alone). So I looked elsewhere, and right next door was a restaurant called Ochre. The menu looked promising (and much simpler than Dundees), and they could seat me immediately, so I chose them. They were, like Dundees, right on the waterfront, but that night it didn’t matter much, because it was teeming down (I had had to borrow an umbrella from the hotel).

On the menu was something I had wanted to try for some time: kangaroo.

Namely:

Char grilled kangaroo sirloin, quandong chile glaze, sweet potato fritter and bok choy

It was absolutely excellent, and went down very well with a good IPA, or two.

Highly recommended!
