| Other browsers (notably Microsoft Internet Explorer) don't come with the
Java plug-in. In
the case of MS IE, you have to turn off the "Microsoft VM"
(note that they don't actually say the word "Java"!),
and enable the Java (Sun) JRE:
If you go to the Advanced tab, and expand the "Default Java for browsers" item, you can see how to set things up for your appropriate set of browsers (Firefox is part of the "Mozilla family"):
