So, it&#8217;s likely that Alison and I will hang around the airport, relaxing, and eating breakfast\/brunch while waiting for Geoff to arrive. (The hotel&#8217;s check-in time is 3pm, so it&#8217;s probably wise for us not to go there earlier.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note: On further discussion with Geoff, he thinks that Alison and I should go to the hotel, and he would make his own way there, later. Even if Alison and I can&#8217;t check in, we should be able to stash our luggage at the hotel, and head on out to find a suitable brunch\/coffee place. The hotel probably has something, but I&#8217;m more interested in local ambiance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, on the assumption that Alison and I will wait at the hotel, here are some ideas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll all be arriving at Terminal 1, which appears to have the best choices of eateries, and other facilities (even an outdoor patio, assuming the weather is kind to us).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aena.es\/es\/josep-tarradellas-barcelona-el-prat.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.aena.es\/es\/josep-tarradellas-barcelona-el-prat.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here is the official Aena website for Barcelona Airport <\/a>(<em>Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport<\/em>) &#8212; Aena is the company in charge of Spanish airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aena.es\/en\/map.html?ca=BCN\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.aena.es\/en\/map.html?ca=BCN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here&#8217;s the official Aena map of Barcelona Airport.<\/a> You have to go there and customize it to view what you want &#8212; Restaurants in Terminal T1. You need to follow each one to see whether it&#8217;s in the pink area or not. If it&#8217;s in the pink area, I believe that&#8217;s within the secure area. After Alison and I have landed and collected our baggage, we won&#8217;t be able to go back into the secure area, so look for restaurants outside the pink area.
