If you follow Ina\u2019s recipe for stock, you\u2019re simmering 3 whole chickens for 4 hours. Yes, you\u2019ll get\u00a0<em>tons\u00a0<\/em>of stock out of the recipe, but simmering the birds for that long means they\u2019ll be completely tough and inedible. So yes, she intends for you to throw them away afterward. And that I just can\u2019t stomach.
