Baked Chicken Drumsticks
This is a deceptively simple recipe, but it produces delicious results. This recipe calls for baking in the oven, but I have used an air fryer with great success. In this case, use the oil to coat the drumsticks first. As with all air fryer cooking, it pays to cook incrementally and check the temperature regularly. I found that three drumsticks took about 20 minutes each side in our air fryer. Your times may vary, depending on your air fryer, the number and size of your drumsticks, and other things.
Ingredients
- Chicken drumsticks (appropriate number, depending on how many people you're serving, and how hungry they are)
- Olive Oil
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Garlic powder to taste
Instructions
- Put some olive oil in the bottom of a baking pan (just large enough to accommodate the drumsticks)
- Add the drumsticks, spacing them enough apart so they don't touch each other.
- Sprinkle generously with ground black pepper and garlic powder.
- Bake in the oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.
- Turn the drumsticks over, sprinkle black pepper and garlic powder on the top, and bake another 30 minutes, or until cooked to a temperature of 165°F.
- Remove from oven, and sprinkle any desired garnish over the drumsticks.
- Serve, and enjoy!
