Shrimp Skewers (Brochetas De Gambas)
One of our favorite tapas in Malaga are shrimp skewers – so good!
Servings: 5 to 6 skewers
Ingredients
- 50-60 shrimp, medium sized
- 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 5-6 wooden skewers
- 3 cloves garlic
- salt
- paprika
Instructions
- Coat the part of the skewers where the shrimp will go with olive oil
- Peel the shrimp and stick them on the skewer trying to keep it as symmetric as possible.
- Chop the 3 cloves of garlic, then coat the skewers with the garlic and olive oil adding salt and a generous amount of paprika to taste.
- Grill the shrimp on one side until they begin to turn white, then turn them over to cook on the other side.
- Serve with a slice of fresh bread and ali-oli (garlic mayonnaise)
