Horstmann &amp; Gary Cornell, published by Prentice-Hall.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Volume I of the same book is also a useful reference for some topics in this course:<strong><em>CORE Java 1.2, Volume I &#8212; Fundamentals<\/em>, by Cay S. Horstmann &amp; Gary Cornell, published by Prentice-Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s very hard to stay abreast of the latest books on Java.&nbsp; I have found the following books to be useful references (they are listed in no particular order), however, I make no claim that this list is, or will stay, up to date:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><em><strong>Advanced Java 2: Development for Enterprise Applications<\/strong><\/em>&nbsp;(2nd Edition), by Clifford J.
